Essential oil of the yuzu fruit
The Happiness Maker
The yuzu fruit is one of the most popular lemon fruits in Japan. Whether in the kitchen, as a refreshing drink or as an essential oil for Japanese bathing rituals to strengthen the immune system - the yuzu lemon offers versatile applications. Yuzu is a cross between the citrus fruit Ichang Papeda and mandarin and is native to Japan and Korea. You have to wait up to 18 years before the first fruits of a yuzu lemon tree can be harvested. The exotic fruit has a refreshing, very pleasant citrus scent and has a significantly higher vitamin C content than "normal" lemons. The yuzu oil extracted from the peel of the yuzu fruit is a true fragrant rarity and is only available in small quantities. The essential oil is extracted by cold pressing to ensure that all the valuable ingredients of the lemon fruit are preserved. Only two litres of yuzu oil require 300 kg of grated yuzu fruit peel. With its tangy-fresh to delicate-floral fragrance, the oil is considered a natural "happiness maker" in Japan.

The essential oil yuzu in aromatherapy
The essential oil extracted from the yuzu fruit can be used in various ways. A few drops of yuzu oil in a diffuser or fragrance lamp spreads the refreshing citrus scent in the room: this is the best way for the "happiness maker" to unfold its mood-lifting effect. The vibrant aroma of our strongly aromatic yuzu essential oil is surprisingly robust and offers a lasting citrus note. Two components have recently been identified as key to this citrus peel's unique olfactory profile: Yuzounone and Yuzuol enhance the balsamic, sweet and floral qualities that distinguish yuzu aroma from other citrus fruits. Our tip to strengthen the immune system
Japanese bath ritual with yuzu fruit
The Japanese bath ritual with yuzu is a traditional custom in which yuzu lemons are added to the bath water to cleanse and refresh the body and mind and strengthen the immune system. Add about 5 to 7 drops of yuzu oil and 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea salt to your bath water to enjoy this Japanese custom in your own bathtub. A subsequent circulation-boosting brush massage will also stimulate your skin's metabolism. You will feel fresh and invigorated.

Like all essential oils, yuzu oil should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Note
Please do not use essential oils pure at any time, but mix only a few drops of them with a fatty oil so that the recommended number of drops is not exceeded. Other ways to use an essential oil are, of course, always fragrance lamps, nebulisers, diffusers or simply a handkerchief as a carrier material for room scenting, so that the oil can be absorbed through your respiratory tract. Essential oils are the highly effective essence of a plant, so always be aware of their potency. Essential oils are not suitable for children under the age of 3.
