The happiness maker
In Japan, the most popular citrus fruit is the yuzu lemon. Whether in the kitchen, in drinks or for bathing rituals - the fruit is used in many different ways in Japan. It is a cross between the citrus fruit Ichang Papeda and tangerines and has a significantly higher vitamin C content than lemons. You have to wait up to 18 years before the first fruits can be harvested. The oil obtained from the peel is a true fragrance rarity and only available in small quantities. For just two kg of oil, 300 kg of grated yuzu peel are required. With its tangy-fresh to delicately flowery fragrance, the oil is considered a "happiness maker" in Japan.
mode of actionThe oil has a calming, relaxing, anxiolytic and mood-lifting effect. It also strengthens the immune system, has an antispasmodic effect and helps with acne and oily skin.

Application to aromatherapy
The vibrant aroma of our highly aromatic yuzu essential oil is amazingly robust and offers a lasting citrus note. Two components have recently been identified as key to this citrus peel's unique olfactory profile: yuzounone and yuzuol enhance the balsamic, sweet and floral qualities that distinguish yuzu flavor from other citrus fruits. In the fragrance lamp, the fragrance has a stimulating effect on the mind. The oil blends well with Benzoin Siam, Frankincense, Vanilla and other citrus fruits.

application on the skin
In bath and skin care mixtures, the oil has a very invigorating effect and stimulates the metabolism. For a Japanese immune-boosting bath ritual, simply add 5 to 7 drops of yuzu oil and 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea salt to the water. A subsequent brush massage also stimulates the skin's metabolism.
